Breast Implants Risk Information

Many women are insecure about their body image and this is the top reason that plastic surgery has become so popular in our society. One of the most popular types of surgery performed is definitely breast implants. Some women believe that a larger bust line gives them more confidence and self esteem, but there are many risks that are involved with this type of procedure.

It is important to weigh all of the available options before choosing to have surgery. There are many non-evasive treatment options that are available that do not carry the risk of so many negative side effects.

There are two main types of breast implant fillers and they are silicone gel and saline. There has been a lot of controversy as far as the safety of silicone gel throughout the years. Many people believe that they can cause systemic diseases, although there is no clear cut link between the two.

There have been a number of studies performed regarding the safety of silicone gel implants, but there has not been any conclusive evidence to prove that they are unsafe. Thousands of women believe that they have suffered some sort of sickness as a direct result of silicone implants. Breast Implants Risk may not be worth having this procedure completed.

There are many physical side effects that one may experience after receiving breast implants. These include tenderness, breast pain, loss of feeling in the nipples, skin infections, fluid collections and post-operative bleeding. They can range from mild to severe and can take place whether the patient has received saline or silicone gel implants.

Some women never regain sensation in the nipple area and this can be quite disheartening. It is important to discuss the side effects with a plastic surgeon before agreeing to this type of surgery.

Another fact to consider is that breast implants are most definitely not designed to last over a lifetime and they will most likely need to be replaced. There is always a threat of a ruptured or deflated implant. One of the problems with the silicone implants in particular is the fact that when the fluid leaks from the capsule, it does so directly into the body.

This has caused many women to experience enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit region. The risks of saline leakage is still being debated. Some believe that it is very dangerous while others believe it to be completely safe.

There have been many different studies and clinical trials performed to determine some sort of guidelines that pertain to silicone gel implants. The National Cancer Institute published the results of an important study that they completed which supposedly proved that there is no direct link to implants and breast cancer.

Many still remain skeptical even after the findings of this study. It seems to be difficult to prove that either substance is harmful when leaked into the body, but the fact is that this is a foreign substance that does not belong in the body. The Breast Implants Risk is far too great for many women to even consider this option.

There is a general upkeep involved in breast augmentation and one can expect to return to the surgeon and possibly undergo another operation due to complications that may take place over a lifetime.  This could be due to a rupture and leakage of the implant itself.

If the implants are removed; one may experience puckering or wrinkling and loss of breast tissue.  This can be quite unattractive and should be considered. Changes to the breasts after augmentation may be irreversible even if the breast implants are replaced. This is quite unsettling to many women.

It is very important to fully understand the risks that are involved in a breast augmentation before making the decision of whether or not to get implants. There are many different non-evasive options that are available which include creams, lotions and breast enhancement pills.

These options are much safer and less expensive than having surgery. For many women, the health concerns are simply not worth the risk involved with getting breast implants. It is very important to consider all options before making a final decision that pertains to your health and well being.
